Poetry: If you blink, you might miss it. Poems are “stories” that entice the reader to fill in the blanks to gather greater meaning. Don’t be afraid to fall into the poem and become part of it, allowing your world to flow through the author’s words and fill in the missing pieces. My poem can become your poem if you open yourself up to it. Stretch your imagination.
And short stories? There’s usually more to a short story than one thinks. Keep reading. Keep thinking. Keep challenging yourself.
